I will be frank. I was most nervous about this portion of the trip. We would be spending close to a week with Mike’s family. We haven’t done a long trip in quite some time. The last family vacation was in Hawaii and we were together for about 5 days. In Hawaii, we could get into a lyft and do our own thing. In Iloilo and Miagao, that would not be the case.

Our first meal in Iloilo was at Tatoy’s. We got all the hits. Native Chicken. Shrimp. Kangkong. Crab fried rice. And the most important thing to me: Mango Shake.

Since we were nearby and Auntie Malit was with us, we hit up S&R. She is a member. Otherwise known as Philippines Costco. It was wild being at S&R. It truly looked and felt like Costco in there.

We then stopped by Molo Mansion. This is THE Molo of Pancit Molo fame. The mansion is now a tourist spot. Inside Molo Mansion is a Kultura store which sold Dinagyang themed souvenirs. It was so interesting seeing this version of the Santo Nino festival.

Before we headed to Miagao we stopped by this plaza in front of Iloilo Church that had Christmas lights still up. Twilight turned into evening and then we were “home.”
