Girls Trip
5 years ago I went on a girls trip with women who I have been community organizing with since my early 20s. After that trip in September 2019, life has hit all of us in so many ways. A pandemic, babies, loved ones becoming ancestors, job changes, strikes, love, loss, kids winning the little league World Series, and then some.
A meme about taking forever to plan a girls trip. Turned into all of us figuring out dates. Taking the initiative and booking a vrbo back at Hollywood Beach in Oxnard. Finding little things for gift bags over the past couple of months. And honestly surviving 4 work events last week.
This weekend was truly a blessing. Epitome of eat, drink, and being merry. So grateful to have all these women in my life. Also thankful that the kiddos who were with us and helped make the trip fun as well. As someone who read all The Baby-Sitters Club books I asked the tween with us if she would babysit the mini human with us. I told her I would pay her $100 to take care of the mini-human. Their gift bags were full of crafts, snap bracelets, and other things. Essentially I made kid kits for them. I hope they enjoyed their auntie/ninang time with all of us.

So thankful everyone enjoyed/tolerated all my Virgo shenanigans (e.g. the PowerPoint presentation I made for the trip).
Special shout-out to my fellow Virgo sister Belle who also brought gifts and sparklers for the cake which created the highlight of the trip. Mucho mucho hugs and flowers to Alison for being the Filipino dad/Ate/Manang we know you are. We appreciate you thru the fire.
When I think of chosen family, I think of these people. This badass powerhouse crew of women inspire me daily. I can’t wait to see all of them again. In fact I’ll see most of them at the TFAL 200 Live Event! Get your tickets today! https://bit.ly/TFAL200

And if you attend the show join us for the after party! Come hang and get a bite and a drink with us!
